Mini Maker Faire Logo Design

We researched and designed a new promotional logo, event plus sponsorship collateral, and wayfinding for New Orleans Mini Maker Faire. Further, we aligned strategic and conceptual aspirations with a high concept visual mark, iconography, and brand graphics.

HOW we SOLVED THE CHALLENGE CONCEPTUALly

For four years, Bricolage Academy was the presenting sponsor of the New Orleans Mini Maker Faire. This annual event attracted over 4,000 community attendees and 120 exhibiting makers across multiple locations and venues.

The Maker Movement and city-specific festivals aim to entertain, inform, and connect communities to the endless possibilities of creativity and innovation. Makers range from tech enthusiasts, DIY crafters, certified B-Corp owners, scientists, and garage tinkerers to students. Makers were of all ages and backgrounds. Each attendee saw firsthand the skill and ingenuity alive in the Crescent City and around the region.

How we solved the challenge visually

We assisted with the New Orleans chapter providing a promotional logo design, branding, communications and outreach, wayfinding, and signage. Additional support included coordinating with host schools (Tulane University and Delgado Community College) and each campus’s signage needs.

Working alongside the National Maker Faire brand guidelines, a promotional logo helped identify and connect with the collective spirit of New Orleans Makers.
