HOW we SOLVED THE CHALLENGE CONCEPTUALly

When Josh Densen approached Quercus Design, he already possessed an incredible global network and had achieved over 20 years of career success. However, as he transitioned into his new role as an Executive Coach, he needed to create brand awareness among his target audience and connect with them on a deeper level—first by reflecting on his brand values and what messaging rang true.

Describing Next Chapter as a brand founded on thoughtful coaching capable of: empowering passionate community leaders, colorful public speaking, conveying tough truths, executing for the now, or happily planning for the future was not a simple brainstorming task. Professional coaching is intricate to explain, given that each client engagement is uniquely tailored. The legibility of the Serif-centric logotype and rich color palette needed to remain accessible to all and distinct.

Prospective clients are keen on personal growth, becoming more effective leaders, and making a lasting social impact. It became essential for Next Chapter's messaging to exude professionalism, authentic humanity, and encapsulate its core differentiator, Josh Densen!

How we solved the challenge visually

Word-of-mouth business, strategic thought leadership, and warm email correspondences only go so far. Densen needed to reconnect with old colleagues and new potential clients on a deeply personal level and demonstrate that together, they can make the growth and impact from his initial email to outcome of their time and investment.

A new brand identity with a personal web presence needed to reflect his wealth of expertise and his demeanor. With compelling lifestyle photography and bold graphics visualizing his life’s work in action, one can begin to image a first in-person exchange or a first virtual call with Densen.
